The 2024 Preliminary Competition Schedule is available here and also on the website under Students/Documents/FH+E Program and Event Guide.
Note that we will be holding Electrical Pre-Tech Inspection on Sunday April 28 in Parking Lot S3. The infield garages of the New Hampshire Motor Speedway will not be available for move-in until Monday April 29.
Watch for the link to the new Pre-Registration Google Form in the Feb 13 email update. The deadline for Pre-Registration information is being moved to Feb 23.
The new process is based on Google Forms and should enable easier updates by teams while also cutting down on the paperwork at the registration window at the track.
The 2024 FH+E Virtual Career Fair is open for sign-up.
The event will take place on Feb 22 from noon to 3pm EST.
Companies participating to date are Tesla, Beta Technologies, MacLean-Fogg, and Dartmouth Engineering (offering grad school degrees, application fees waived).
Check your team's email updates for registration information or send an email to: formulahybridcomp@gmail.com
The ESF-2 Form for 2024 is now available on the FH+E website. Direct Link to download.
Due to the late release of the form, the due dates have been pushed back a week. Final due date: Mar 1, 2024. Bonus deadline: Feb 16, 2024

There have been several inquiries concerning FH+E Rules EV2.11.5 and EV5.4.2 from teams that are planning to compete in both FH+E and FSAE-Electric competitions. After careful consideration, the FH+E Technical Rules Committee will be relaxing these two FH+E Rules to bring them into alignment with the FSAE-Electric Rules. An update to the FH+E Rules will soon be posted.
Please address further questions through the FH+E ticketing system: https://formulahybridelectric.supportsystem.com/
Rules updates for Rules EV2.11.5 and EV5.4.2
EV2.11.5: CHANGE IN AMS TEMPERATURE MONITORINGREQUIREMENTS
The FH+E Technical Rules Committee has decided to relax the FH+E rule EV2.11.5requirement that 30% of Li-Ion cells be monitored by the AMS for temperature. This is to harmonize with FSAE-Electric rule EV.7.5 which requires that "The temperature of a minimum of 20% of the cells must be monitored by the AMS". FH+E is changing Table 10 in EV2.11.5 to state that 20% of Li-Ion cells must be monitored.
It is important to note that both events encourage teams to monitor ALL cells, and that a single sensor can adequately monitor several adjacent cells. Thermal runaway in Li-Ion batteries can happen very rapidly, so early warning of rising temperatures greatly reduces the risk of a catastrophic failure. Relying on thermal conduction from adjacent cells is not as fast as adequate temperature measurement coverage.

EV5.4.2: Reduction in TS/GLV Insulation Temperature Requirement
To harmonize between FH+E and FSAE-Electric rules, the FH+E Technical Rules Committee is changing the temperature requirement for TS/GLV insulation inEV5.4.2 and Table 13 from 150C to 90C. The 0.25mm / 0.010" thickness requirement will remain the same:
TS / GLV Minimum Temperature Minimum Thickness
90º C 0.25 mm
